New Staff at The School of Politics and International Relations

The School is pleased to announce that a number of new staff will be starting with the school in 2015.  This is an exciting time for the school with new colleagues and new courses being introduced along with a three year teaching plan that will enable students to look forward and plan their degrees with more certainty.

The new staff include:

Dr Richard Frank Arrived in January 2015. His research interests include:

  • Civil conflict
  • Human rights
  • Election violence
  • Political methodology

Dr Katrine Beauregard Arrived in February 2015 and will be lecturing in a new course on Political Parties and Party Systems in 2015.  Dr Beauregard’s research interests include:

  • Political institutions and political participation
  • Gender and politics
  • Political methodology

Dr Dongwook Kim will be arriving in June 2015 and will be lecturing in International Relation Theory.  Dr Kim’s research interests include:

  • International relations theory
  • Human rights
  • International law and organizations
  • Transnational nongovernmental activism
  • Policy diffusion
  • American foreign policy
  • Mixed-methods research design and
  • Quantitative methods

Dr Matthew Kerby will be arriving in July 2015. His research interests include:
